Wildfire areas, older homes, high-value homes and homes other agents turn away. If your carrier sent a non-renewal, call us right away.
Brush and high fire-risk areas where many carriers have pulled back.
Homes that need higher limits and broader coverage than a standard policy offers.
Older roofs, wiring or plumbing that some carriers won’t write.
Got a non-renewal notice? We’ll shop the market before your policy ends.
When the regular market won’t write a home, many owners combine two policies. Together they can work like a full homeowners policy, though terms vary by carrier.
Carriers look closely at wildfire risk and home updates. Having these ready can open up more options and better terms.
Call us as soon as you get the notice, so there’s time to shop before your policy ends. We’ll look for a new carrier, and if the regular market won’t write the home, we’ll walk you through FAIR Plan and DIC options.
The California FAIR Plan is the state’s insurer of last resort and mainly covers fire. A Difference in Conditions (DIC) policy from another carrier can add coverage the FAIR Plan leaves out, such as liability, water damage and theft.
Surplus lines (E&S) carriers insure homes the standard market won’t. They aren’t backed by the California Insurance Guarantee Association, so we’ll explain the trade-offs before you choose.
As soon as the notice arrives. Hard-to-place homes can take longer to quote, so the more time we have, the more options we can find.
